Getting incoming links into a website is the next step after properly optimising your own websites content and content management system. Your success at getting incoming links will be what gets you to the top of Google.
Directory submissions
Directory submission is one way to build incoming links. It is effective as part of an overall linking strategy.There are many lists of directories to submit to. However, Google is not very friendly towards directories. We are finding a lot of directories are being banned by Google. When you do a site:domain.com search, there are no pages cached for many of the sites.
When you hire me for your directory submission work, you are guaranteed that the directories that are being submitted to are being cached by Google at that moment.
Google does not like duplicate content, and link text and descriptions used on directory submissions are often the same. Therefore, I use a tool to randomise text link phrases with descriptions, reducing duplicate content issues, and giving better value for clients.
I can also Digg the specific directory pages. I have found that although Digg links are nofollowed, due to other websites using the Digg pages for content, Google in turn caches the directory pages faster than otherwise.
Blog Comment Submission
Google has mentioned that it does not like "spam" blog comments. However, there are many blogs run by people that actively manage their websites and delete spam comments. Such websites are a great source for quality dofollow links if you write a quality comment.I find such blogs, read the posts thoroughly, and write intelligent comments, entering into the discussion. Most of my comments get approved rather than deleted. I don't write comments on blogs that are havens for link spam, as over time they would get found by Google and banned.
